His team confirmed on 10 November 2025 that the award-winning DJ, whose real name is Collen Ntala Mmotla, is now recovering at home.

Chymamusique and fellow artist DJ Poizen were involved in a head-on collision on the N1 near Ysterberg Mountain, outside Polokwane, on 30 August 2025.
According to Tidimalo Chuene, spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety:
“Two sedans collided head-on before catching fire.”
DJ Poizen sadly died in the crash. Chymamusique was critically injured and airlifted to hospital.
