Theo Dreyer, who earned an impressive 10 distinctions, represented South Africa at the Kayak World Marathon Championship in Croatia while completing his matric year. Despite nearly missing a key exam due to travel delays, his school supported him, ensuring he could excel in both academics and sports.

Mya will be heading to Yale University in the United States to study the history of science, medicine, and public health. Theo plans to pursue Actuarial Science at Wits University, while St David’s Marist Inanda’s Jonathan Penumala has applied to Harvard and Georgia Tech to study Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.

Jonathan attributed his success to maintaining a routine and joked that his mother’s excellent cooking played a significant role. Like his peers, he stressed the importance of balance, determination, and support.
