Johannesburg residents are bracing for continued water restrictions as Joburg Water implements throttling across multiple reservoirs and towers. This measure, in effect since last Saturday, aims to optimize supply and ensure equitable distribution during the ongoing crisis.

Planned Rotations and Throttling Measures

The throttling process involves reducing water pressure by 50% to 100%, with daily restrictions between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM. Adjustments to these schedules may occur based on logistical needs. Over 90 areas, impacting 115,900 properties, are included in the planned rotations.
