The football family is mourning breaking news circulated that Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs passed away after he was gunned down on Wednesday in a botched robbery in Gauteng.

“Fleurs played 70 times for SuperSport, who he joined from first division Ubuntu FC in 2018. The centreback was yet to earn game time at Chiefs.”

“A family member confirmed to iDiski Times on Wednesday evening that the former Ubuntu Academy development product passed on today after being shot during a hijacking,” reports the publication.
“Fleurs had racked up 70 appearances for the Matsatsantsa, scoring twice, after joining the club from Ubuntu FC in July 2018.”
Mavela told Sunday World they are still waiting for the developments on the breaking news story.
“The police are waiting for information on the incident for now,” Masondo told Sunday World.
“We will comment further on the matter as soon as we gather the details thereof…”
