He emphasized that South Africa last hosted an Formula 1 race over three decades ago, despite the sport’s enduring popularity on the continent. “The goal is to secure a five-year hosting agreement, or longer, ensuring long-term economic and developmental benefits for the country,” McKenzie explained.
