Bright lights, Tropika cocktails, and a bright red carpet were all vibrant parts of the Tropika Island of Treasure premiere on Wednesday, 18 September. Season 11 of the show premiered to an exclusive audience at the NuMetro cinema in Hyde Park, with the first episode of the season met with excitement and intrigue.
Tropika’s exciting night
The night was full of conversation, drinks, and food with the cast and the show’s new presenter, Zanele Potelwa. The premiere featured speeches from the cast, Potelwa and officials from Clover (Tropika’s parent company). The evening was also a celebration of 120 years of Clover and 40 years of the Tropika drink.
The screening of the first episode was an exciting showcase of what looks to be an interesting new season. The season begins with a look at the new celebrity cast consisting of actor Hungani Ndlovu, TikTok sensation Chad Jones, and reality star Roxy Burger to name just a few, who were joined by 7 other contestants to make Season 11 of this show.
This season is set at a luxury resort in Zanzibar, the series’ second time set on the beautiful island. The beautiful beaches make a home for the new season. The show opened with exciting challenges, group dynamics, and some light drama with much more set to come.
The show is set to air officially on 28 September 2024, on SABC 3.
