Duties:
- Clinical management of general medical patients as a consultant.
- Leading operational and academic ward rounds, including post-intake, follow-up, and grand rounds.

- Managing patients at the Outpatient Department (OPD) and those attending Sub-specialty OPD or Specialty Ward Consultations within relevant Sub-specialties.
- Setting an example as an exemplary medical practitioner, serving as a role model and clinical mentor.
- Coordinating specialty services at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) and cluster hospitals for both inpatient and outpatient services.
- Supervising clinical technology services as required.
- Overseeing the development of appropriate referral pathways and services at referral hospitals.
- Overtime is mandatory.
Academic Responsibilities:
- Participating in the academic duties of the Wits Internal Medicine and related Department.
- Performing and supervising research within the department and for MMed students.
- Training and supervising Senior registrars, registrars, and medical students, including tutorials, teaching ward rounds, and skills development.
- Providing medical support and guidance to nursing staff.
- Registration with the HPCSA and Wits University as a fellow in Endocrinology.
