The Mini Aceman, which made its global debut in April last year, has now received official pricing in South Africa. Positioned between the Mini Cooper and the Mini Countryman, this all-electric model marks a significant milestone for the brand under BMW’s ownership.
Model Variants
As the first fully electric vehicle built from the ground up by Mini, the Aceman effectively takes the place of the now-discontinued Clubman estate. South Africa will have access to both versions that were showcased at the global premiere.

Aceman E
The base model, the Aceman E, is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor delivering 135kW and 290Nm. Its energy source is a 42.5-kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a claimed range of 310 km. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds, while the top speed is capped at 160 km/h.
Aceman SE
For those seeking more power and range, the flagship Aceman SE comes equipped with a larger 54.2-kWh battery. The electric motor in this variant produces 160kW and 330Nm, enabling a quicker 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.1 seconds and a higher top speed of 170 km/h. The estimated driving range increases to 406 km.

Charging and Performance
Both the Aceman E and SE are equipped with an 11 kW onboard charger as standard. The E model supports DC fast charging up to 75 kW, while the SE allows for a higher 90 kW fast-charging capacity. Using a fast charger, the SE can recharge from 10-80% in approximately 30 minutes.
Features and Specifications
Manufactured in China through BMW’s collaboration with Great Wall Motors (GWM), the Mini Aceman shares production facilities with the Cooper SE. Standard equipment includes a 9.4-inch OLED infotainment screen, premium materials made largely from recycled sources, the Go-Kart driving mode, and alloy wheels of up to 19 inches.
