- Rand/Dollar Exchange Rate – The strength of the rand against the US dollar affects fuel import costs. The South African rand has strengthened in recent weeks, reaching its highest level in nearly three months at R18.16/$.
When Will the New Prices Take Effect?
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) will confirm the final fuel price adjustments in the last week of March 2025. The new fuel prices will take effect at midnight on Tuesday, 1 April 2025.
