Gauteng
Expect cloudy and warm weather with scattered thunderstorms. Residents should be prepared for possible flooding and sudden downpours.
Mpumalanga
Morning fog in the Highveld, followed by cloudy and warm conditions with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Scattered thunderstorms will be more intense in the west.
Limpopo
Partly cloudy in the morning, becoming cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered thunderstorms, except in the north-east. The Lowveld will be hot in the afternoon.
North West
Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated thunderstorms. The extreme eastern areas will experience scattered thunderstorms and cloudy conditions.
Free State
Expect morning fog patches in the east, followed by partly cloudy, warm to hot weather. Isolated thunderstorms will occur, with scattered storms in the extreme west.
Northern Cape
Cloudy at first along the coast, clearing to warm to hot conditions. Scattered thunderstorms will develop in the central and eastern parts, accompanied by strong winds.
Western Cape
Partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions, with morning fog along the south coast. It will be hot in the north-east, and the UVB sunburn index is extreme, so sun protection is necessary.
Eastern Cape (Western Half)
Fine and hot to very hot inland, turning partly cloudy in the north, with isolated thunderstorms developing later.
Eastern Cape (Eastern Half)
The day will be hot and clear, but isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog will clear to warm and sunny conditions, turning partly cloudy later with isolated thunderstorms in the west. The UVB sunburn index is very high, so precautions against sun exposure are advised.
