The tour, which was initially scheduled for September 2024, had already been postponed to January 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances. However, recent events have forced the cancellation of her upcoming performances.

The Impact of the LA Fires

Los Angeles has been grappling with a series of wildfires that have destroyed over 12,000 homes and claimed more than 20 lives. Cole’s hairstylist, Jonathan Wright, shared the tragic news on Instagram, stating that her home was among those affected by the fires.

Cole, who had recently been in Miami, returned home to find her property devastated. This heartbreak mirrors the experiences of many Hollywood residents, including South African-born actress Christel Smith, who lost her home and all her memorabilia in the blaze.

    SA Fans Disappointed

Keyshia Cole was set to perform at three South African venues next weekend:

    • Pretoria’s Time Square on Friday, 24 January.
    • Carnival City on Saturday.
    • Cape Town on Sunday.

Organisers issued a statement confirming the postponement:
“Together with her team, we have been working tirelessly to assess the situation, and in light of these unexpected and heart-breaking events, the difficult decision was made to call off the tour.”

This marks the second postponement of Cole’s much-anticipated performances in South Africa. Initially, Sun City was selected as a venue, but later replaced by Emperor’s Palace. Subsequently, Carnival City was confirmed for one of the shows, though changes were not officially communicated.
