Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, one of the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) most prominent figures, is at the center of escalating political speculation following reports of his alleged suspension from party activities. “Our organisation cannot be dragged through the mud daily in your name and you keep quiet as if you have no capacity to talk,” wrote Thambo, tagging Ndlozi in his post.
Julius Malema’s Veiled Criticism
EFF leader Julius Malema added fuel to the fire during an August meeting in Soweto, criticizing leaders who fail to defend the party during turbulent times. While Malema did not name Ndlozi directly, the remarks were widely interpreted as a jab at him.
Malema’s alleged rift with Ndlozi could have significant implications for the party’s unity. Political analyst Sanet Solomon from the University of South Africa (Unisa) warned that this discord could lead to irreparable damage to Ndlozi’s relationship with the party.
