Team South Africa’s athletes will be sporting a stylish and symbolic kit at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, designed to reflect the nation’s natural wonders and heritage. The South African Sports Confederation, Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SASCOC) collaborated once again with Mr Price Sport, who were also behind the Tokyo kit, to create this unique uniform.

    Drawing Inspiration from Home

The Team SA kit launch, held at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site in May 2024, offered a glimpse into the design’s inspiration. The majestic surroundings mirrored the essence of the uniform, which incorporates various South African landmarks, alongside the country’s diverse flora and fauna. This theme resonates with the Paris Games themselves, where iconic locations like the Eiffel Tower and Seine River will be hosting some of the events.

A Blend of Style and Performance

The Team SA kit prioritizes both aesthetics and functionality. Mr Price Sport’s Maxed Elite range provides the technical foundation, ensuring the high-quality fabrics can withstand the rigours of competition. Breathable materials and moisture-wicking technology will keep athletes cool and comfortable during their peak performances.

    Classic Design with Bold Colors

The sleek and pared-down design features a minimalist approach, with white tracksuits accented by small bursts of yellow and green, reflecting the colours of the South African flag. There’s also a green tracksuit option with similar yellow and white details. This colour scheme is expected to be carried over to the opening ceremony outfits as well.
