Chief Director Strategy and Systems Vacancy Details
- Position: Chief Director: Strategy and Systems

- Salary: R1 371 558 per annum (all-inclusive package)

Requirements:
- Educational Background: Matriculation plus an NQF level 7 undergraduate qualification recognized by SAQA in Public Administration/Public Management/Business Management, or a relevant Management field. Additional qualification in Strategic Management or Monitoring and Evaluation is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant middle/senior managerial experience, with a total of 15 years in Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
- Certification: Pre-Entry Certificate for SMS is required.
- License: Valid driver’s license is necessary.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Public Service prescripts, the Department’s mandate, performance management frameworks, strategic and performance planning frameworks (FMPPI, MTEF, MTSF, PI Frameworks), and ability to manage deadlines effectively.

Duties:
- Lead the strategic management of monitoring and evaluation programmes, assessing departmental service delivery performance across various timelines.
- Manage the verification process for reported performance information and facilitate the compilation of strategic, annual performance, and operational plans, including regular reporting.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of M&E Frameworks, undertake impact studies, and manage departmental reports including the Annual Report and 5-Year Review Reports.
- Advise on the alignment of strategic and operational plans with the Department’s mandate and ensure the strategic planning process is integrated with budgeting in collaboration with the finance unit.
