1. Assistant Manager: Waste Management

Join Emalahleni Local Municipality as an Assistant Manager in Waste Management. This position is an invitation to help the municipality uphold their vision of clean, sustainable communities for all.

  • Key Requirements:
    • National diploma in waste or environmental management.
    • 5 – 8 years relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Valid Driving License.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of municipal objectives and impact of decisions on community and department.
    • Excellent financial management to optimize municipal resources.
    • Proficient in planning, coordinating, and controlling tasks and projects.
  • Competencies:
    • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and meet objectives.
    • Compliance with legislative requirements, especially in air quality.
    • Effective long-term planning and execution.

    • Ensure efficient and sustainable waste removal services.

2. Assistant Manger: Sports and Recreation

Emalahleni Local Municipality is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager: Sports & Recreation to join their team. This role offers the chance to lead initiatives that enrich the community’s life through sports and recreational activities.

    • National diploma in Sport Management.
    • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
    • Valid Driving License.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in planning and organizing sports and recreational activities.

4. Assistant Manager: Office of the Speaker

Emalahleni Local Municipality is seeking a committed individual for the role of Assistant to the Speaker. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to their mission and vision by promoting community participation and assisting in strategic and administrative decisions.

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • NQF Level 6 in Public Administration, Social Science, or Development Studies.
    • 5 – 8 years relevant experience.
    • Computer literacy, especially proficiency in MS Office.
    • Valid driving license.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to specific audiences.

5. Chief GIS Technician

Emalahleni Local Municipality is seeking a Chief GIS Technician to oversee the maintenance and development of our geographical data systems.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geomatics, or Town Planning.
    • 3 years of relevant end-user database experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in database procedures and application tools for GIS.
    • Ability to maintain geographic information, records, and cadastral databases accurately.

Emalahleni Local Municipality is seeking four dedicated individuals for the roles of Assistant Process Controller in the Abstraction & Water department located in Rietspruit and Ogies/Phola.     • Operators certificate in Waste Water Treatment Practice (N2).
