Navigating the Heat Wave: #VisitGauteng Tips

Gauteng is currently experiencing a significant heat wave. We urge everyone to stay hydrated, use sunscreen, and wear protective clothing. Try to limit outdoor activities during peak sun hours and make the most of our beautiful early mornings and late afternoons. Remember, staying cool is not just about comfort, but also about health.

Update on Load-Shedding: #GautengMeansBusiness

With the recent increases in load-shedding due to higher demand, scarce generating capacity, and reliance on emergency reserves, we sympathise with the impact made on both homes and businesses. The latest schedule is available on the Eskom website and various utility apps. We recommend planning your activities with these times in mind. Businesses, let us continue to show resilience and innovation during these times.

Vigilance While Spending: #StayingSafe in the Festive Season

With the festive season upon us, it is important to be vigilant while spending. Be cautious with your personal and financial information, especially in crowded shopping areas and online transactions. Let us keep our festive spirit free from the worry of fraud.

  • Outdoor Adventures: Explore our hiking trails and nature reserves. The Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden and the Cradle of Humankind offer breathtaking views and a chance to reconnect with nature. Also, make use of the exceptional golf courses around the province.
  • Gastronomic Delights: Try out new restaurants or revisit your childhood takeaway spots. From street food to fine dining, Gauteng’s culinary scene is buzzing with flavours.
  • Community Events: Look out for local markets, concerts, and community gatherings in your area. It is a time to come together and celebrate after an eventful year.

We hope these reminders on SASSA payments and updates from the latest provincial news will help with your holiday planning. As we enjoy these experiences, let us not forget to share them with the world.
