Pork Sosaties Recipe

Sosaties, also known as kebabs, are a fun and versatile way to cook meat over the fire. This easy-to-follow recipe combines tender pork with vibrant vegetables and sweet pineapple, making it perfect for sharing with loved ones.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) lemon juice
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) sunflower oil
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped fresh oregano
- ½ tsp (2.5 ml) salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 500 g leg or shoulder of pork (fat removed, cut into cubes)
- 1 onion, cut into pieces
- 1 green or red pepper, seeds removed, cut into pieces
- ½ pineapple, cut into pieces
Method:
- In a shallow dish, mix lemon juice, sunflower oil, oregano, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the pork cubes and coat evenly with the marinade. Let it marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the pork, onion, pepper, and pineapple onto sosatie sticks.
- Braai over medium coals for 8–10 minutes on each side until the meat is juicy and cooked through.
