City Power Announces 8-Hour Maintenance Outage Affecting Multiple Suburbs on April 30
City Power Johannesburg has announced a planned power outage scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 08:00 to 16:00. This 8-hour interruption is part of routine maintenance aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring the reliability of the electricity network.
Affected Suburbs:
- Bloubosrand Ext. 2, 3, 9, 11, and 12
- Needwood Ext. 4 and 5
- Fourways Ext. 30
- Witkoppen Ext. 123
- Johannesburg North
- Hoogland Ext. 2
- Chartwell Agricultural Holdings
- Jukskei Park and Jukskei Park Ext. 5
- Kya Sand Ext. 11, 37, and 60
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to prepare accordingly. It’s recommended to switch off electrical appliances to prevent damage when power is restored. Everyone is also urged to treat all electrical outlets as live during the outage period.
