The runways have officially closed at South African Fashion Week where loads of South African talent came to the fore to showcase their brilliance. The three-day event was filled with memorable collections by some of the country’s most iconic and interesting designers. The fashion show took place at Melrose Arch, where the fashion industry’s biggest names came together to celebrate the beauty of South African fashion and design. South African Fashion Week AW25: Day 1
These were just a few of the stunning looks on display on the first evening. Collections by The Bam Collective, Fikile Sokhulu, and Michael Ludwig Studios were just some of the stunning pieces on display on Day 1. The warm colour palettes were an interesting choice for an Autumn/ Winter show.
Basetsana, a first-time attendee at SAFW shared her experience: “I’m enjoying the aura, I love the fashion… I would definitely consider coming back for other fashion weeks.”
SA Fashion Week AW25: Day 2
Day 2 featured looks by Viviers, Naked Ape, Belhauzen, and more. Belhauzen showcased their collection alongside House of Ole, and Floyd Avenue for the Isuzu Luxury Collections. Floyd Avenue won the Isuzu Luxury Collections contest with his fun and casual streetwear collection. The night was filled with interesting, cool-toned collections.
SA Fashion Week AW25: Day 3
Day 3 was filled with excitement and engagement, with beautiful music, and immersive experiences, making it the most enjoyable day of showcases. The shows kicked off with the MR Price Menswear talent search, where designers from across the country showed their best sport-themed designs and Undefined Outdoor Clothing took the prize. The following shows by Mantsho and Imprint featured beautiful live music performances and colourful collections that the crowd adored. The closing show by Enhle Mbali’s Essie Apparel, was a perfect end to some beautiful shows. Day 3 was definitely a memorable experience.
The 2025 SAFW Autumn/ Winter collections were a sight to behold, highlighting the success and talent that is so prevalent in South Africa. The diversity of the designs, the colour schemes, and the themes, made it into a stunning affair that would be a dream for fashion enthusiasts everywhere.
