SAFA Ends Le Coq Sportif Deal
The South African Football Association (SAFA) announced the conclusion of their partnership with French sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif in December.

Adidas Sparks Speculation
German sportswear giant Adidas hinted at a possible return as Bafana Bafana’s kit sponsor by posting images of players Thalente Mbatha and Ronwen Williams, who both wear Adidas boots, with the words “count is in.”
The post read:
“When belief becomes reality. For the first time since 2010, all roads lead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Bafana Bafana.”

A Nostalgic Reunion?
Many fans now believe Bafana Bafana could once again don Adidas kits, recalling their last appearance in the 2010 World Cup. A confirmed partnership would symbolize a return to one of football’s most iconic brands, evoking memories of South Africa’s proudest footballing moments on home soil.
As Bafana Bafana prepares to compete on the global stage, Adidas could play a key role in ushering in a new era for the national team, blending nostalgia with fresh ambition.
