Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema responds to betrayal expressing his frustration with those he claims have withheld critical information or failed to defend the organization. In a fiery press conference held in Johannesburg, Malema shared his sentiments on loyalty and the irreparable damage caused by those he perceives as disloyal.

Malema revealed that some EFF members knew about Floyd Shivambu’s planned departure weeks before it occurred but failed to inform him. He described this act as the “highest form of disloyalty,” stating that such behavior made it impossible for him to trust those individuals.
“My turning point was when they kept information away from me. They can go to hell. Even if I lose votes, I am not going to fight for votes by sitting with people who are disloyal,” Malema declared, emphasizing that his relationship with these individuals was beyond repair.
Zuma’s Alleged Role in the Betrayal

Speculation Around Mbuyiseni Ndlozi
While Malema did not explicitly name anyone, speculation arose about whether he was referring to Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, a known ally of Floyd Shivambu. Ndlozi has reportedly been absent from EFF meetings and events, fueling rumors of internal discord.
“The organization gets insulted, the leadership gets insulted in your name, and you keep quiet. You want us to say you are loyal? What loyalty?” Malema asked, taking aim at those who failed to publicly defend the EFF.
No Forgiveness for Betrayal

“Do not make a mistake. Be alert; they will kill you. If they catch you, they will finish you,” Malema warned, adding that loyalty is non-negotiable in the EFF.
Malema also highlighted the personal toll of these betrayals, sharing how even his son had urged him to show leniency. However, he stood firm, stating, “You would rather be alone than be in a relationship that’s not working.”
