Astron Energy Bursary Application Guide
1. Read the Instructions Carefully
Make sure you read all the instructions before you apply. Any mistakes, missing information, or false details will mean your application is not considered.
2. Gather Your Documents
You need to submit certified copies of your documents. Certification must be done within 3 months. Here are the basic documents everyone needs:
- Certified Copy of Your South African ID.
- Motivation Letter (1-2 pages): Explain why you deserve the bursary.
- Certified Copy of Your Parent/Guardian’s ID or Death Certificate.
- Comprehensive CV: List your education and any work experience.
3. Additional Documents Based on Your Status
For Current University Students:
- Certified copies of your academic records and matric certificate.
- Your 2024 university fee statement and proof of registration.
For Matric or Gap-Year Students:
- Grade 11 final report and Grade 12 Term 2 report with your school’s stamp.
For Tertiary Gap-Year Students:
- Certified matric certificate.
- Latest academic transcript (if applicable). If not studying, submit a police affidavit explaining why.
For Masters/PhD Applicants:
- Recommendation letter from your supervisor.
4. Optional Documents
- Bursary/NSFAS Agreement (if you have one).
- Doctor’s Letter if you have a disability.
- 2025 Acceptance Letter if you’ve been accepted to a course.
What Happens if You’re Shortlisted?
If you make it to the next stage, Astron Energy will ask for:
- Certified matric certificate.
- Proof of registration for 2025 (the bursary is paid after registration).
Tips for Success
- Combine documents: If you have more than one document in a category, combine them into one file before uploading.
- Certified copies: Make sure all documents are certified and recent.
- Affidavits: If you can’t provide a document, submit a police affidavit explaining why.
How to Apply
