South Africa is looking forward to the welcome privilege of hosting the 15th BRICS Summit this year. Officials from four of the most promising developing nations: Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be gathering with President Cyril Ramaposa at the BRICS summit in Johannesburg between 22 and 24 August.
The theme of the BRICS Summit will be “BRICS and Africa,” where the countries will discuss the opportunities available to build relationships and collaborate with the continent. The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) highlighted the opportunities that hosting the BRICS Summit would present for the province in this way:
“There is no doubt that many sectors will be positively impacted from accommodation, transportation, food, security, logistics, and hospitality establishments, with the majority of them already fully booked. We are excited by the prospects of our visitors and delegates immersing themselves in our food and culinary experiences.”

The BRICS Summit will Have a Sizeable Reach and Influence on the Gauteng Province, the Country, and the Continent
Rumours that more than 40 countries are interested in joining the coalition, so the summit will have a wide reach and influence. Representatives from these nations are also expected to be in the city of Johannesburg during the time of the summit. In addition, several spectators, business leaders, analysts, civil organisations, and members of the media, both local and international, should be making an appearance.
