A prominent Manchester United TikTok personality, known online as NayeemUtd, has taken to social media to urge the English giants to swoop for Iqraam Rayners, the red-hot striker currently starring for Mamelodi Sundowns.
The call comes in the wake of Rayners’ standout performance in the FIFA Club World Cup clash against South Korea’s Ulsan HD, where the South African forward bagged the only goal in a 1-0 victory for Sundowns — a historic first win for the club at the tournament.
A Hat-Trick of Goals — But Only One Counts
Despite the early morning kickoff and nearly empty stands, Rayners lit up the match with a sharp attacking display, putting the ball in the back of the net three times in the first half alone. Unfortunately, two of those goals were ruled out — one for handball and another for offside.
Still, his officially counted goal was a clinical finish that highlighted his sharp movement and striker’s instinct.
The win propelled Sundowns to the top of Group F, capitalising on a goalless draw between Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense in the group’s other fixture. It marked Sundowns’ first-ever victory in any edition of the Club World Cup, after losing both games in their previous appearance in 2016.
NayeemUtd Calls for Old Trafford Move
But it was Rayners’ individual brilliance that caught the eye of NayeemUtd, who posted a video praising the striker’s performance and demanding action from Manchester United.
“Get him to Old Trafford right now,” the influencer insisted, adding that the Bafana Bafana forward has the hunger and technique the Red Devils need.
Manchester United are reportedly on the hunt for a new striker this transfer window, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike among the names linked. However, NayeemUtd believes Rayners could be the perfect, underrated alternative — a player who brings form, fire, and flair.
Iqraam Rayners Rising
The 28-year-old Rayners has enjoyed a sensational season with Sundowns and continues to rise as one of South Africa’s most dependable attackers. His performances at the Club World Cup may now be turning more than just local heads — they could be opening doors to Europe.
As Manchester United fans and pundits alike debate the next number nine to don the red shirt, it seems one corner of the internet has already made its choice clear: Rayners to Old Trafford.
