The GIBB Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme is a business-led collaboration with the government. This initiative seeks to reduce youth unemployment across private and public sectors. The aim is to:
- Enable more youth skills development.
- Offer meaningful workplace experience.
- Provide a salary.
This should significantly improve the chances of finding long-term employment.

Minimum Requirements for the GIBB Skills Development YES Programme
To qualify for this wonderful skills development opportunity at GIBB, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science, and English.
- National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial.
- You are a South African Citizen (must be born in South Africa).
- You are aged between 18 and 28 years of age.
- You are unemployed and available to be employed on a 12-month Fixed-Term contract.
- You are not a previous YES beneficiary.
- You are computer literate.
- You want to learn new skills related to the Engineering and Architectural Industry.
- You are a responsible and honest person.
