Requirements:
- Grade 12 certification.
- Basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as per Government Notice 425, such as a diploma/degree in Nursing for registration as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic qualification in Advanced Psychiatry Nursing Science with a duration of at least 1 year.
- A minimum of 9 years of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
- At least 5 years of the required experience must be in a role relevant to the post-basic qualification in Advanced Psychiatry Nursing Science.
- Must possess a current annual practicing certificate from the South African Nursing Council.
- Computer literacy.
- Verifiable proof of work experience and service certificates are mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication, and sound interpersonal skills.
Duties:
- Coordinate optimal, holistic specialized nursing care within established standards and a professional/legal framework.
- Manage the effective utilization and supervision of Human, Financial, and service resources.
- Coordinate the provision of effective training and research.
- Provide effective support to Nursing Services.
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and development of self and subordinates.
