Gauteng: Pretoria and Johannesburg

In Gauteng, today’s weather is mild and pleasant. Pretoria reaches 22°C with a low of 15°C, making it ideal for outdoor errands and light activities. Johannesburg stays slightly cooler at 21°C with a chilly morning low of 10°C. Clear skies and light winds dominate the day, and no rain is expected.

Western Cape: Cape Town

Cape Town enjoys a warm and clear day, with temperatures sitting at 25°C and dropping to 13°C overnight. Today’s weather is perfect for beach visits, walking routes, or outdoor dining. Warmer conditions are expected tomorrow before a sharp cooldown on Thursday.

KwaZulu-Natal: Durban

Durban’s coastal weather is stable but cool for this time of year. Today’s weather reaches 19°C with a low of 15°C. Humidity is moderate, and light clouds may build through the afternoon. A few brief drizzles are possible, but nothing disruptive.

Free State: Bloemfontein

Today’s weather in Bloemfontein brings clear skies with a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C. Conditions are dry and warm, with rising temperatures forecast midweek. Residents can expect a slight drop in nighttime temperatures on Wednesday.

Limpopo: Polokwane

Polokwane stays on the cooler side. Today’s weather reaches 18°C with a low of 16°C. Cloud cover may keep temperatures from rising much further during the day. Sunshine becomes more prominent from Wednesday onwards.

Northern Cape: Upington

The Northern Cape is one of the warmest regions today. Upington hits 27°C with a low of 16°C. Skies are clear and dry, with hotter afternoons expected later in the week. If you’re working outdoors, stay hydrated and limit sun exposure during peak hours.

Eastern and Southern Coast: Gqeberha and East London

Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) sees mild conditions with a high of 19°C and a low of 14°C. East London is cooler at 17°C with a low of 14°C. Today’s weather in both cities includes passing clouds and light coastal winds. Temperatures begin climbing from tomorrow.

Midweek Outlook

  • Wednesday: Most inland cities see a slight rise in temperature. Cape Town reaches a hot 30°C before cooling down on Thursday.
  • Thursday: Widespread warming continues, especially in Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Durban and Upington. Cape Town cools to 18°C after the midweek spike.

Clothing and Comfort Tips

  • Mornings: Light jackets or sweaters recommended, especially in Johannesburg and Bloemfontein.
  • Afternoons: Short sleeves work well inland, but coastal areas may still feel breezy.
  • Evenings: Temperatures drop again, so keep a layer handy if you’re outdoors.

Weather Summary

Today’s weather is comfortable and mostly dry across South Africa, with warming trends expected through the week. Inland areas enjoy clear skies and rising temperatures, while the coast experiences softer conditions with occasional clouds. Whether you’re travelling, working, or planning outdoor activities, today’s weather stays manageable and mild.
