These annual dealer awards celebrate excellence in sales, customer service, and financial services across brands like BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and Mini.
Recognising Excellence in the Automotive Industry
Each manufacturer has its own selection criteria for determining the best dealership, but the winners typically excel in vehicle sales, financing deals, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
AutoTrader CEO George Mienie highlighted the significance of these awards, stating that they shine a light on the dedicated individuals working behind the scenes to keep the automotive industry running.
“These individuals are often the unsung heroes who play a critical role in the success of the industry. It’s essential to acknowledge their contributions and give them the recognition they deserve,” said Mienie.
Beyond recognition, these awards also drive competition between dealerships, encouraging better customer service, innovative marketing strategies, and improved financing options.
A Motivating Factor for Dealerships
Sean Simpson, Dealer Principal at Kia Vereeniging, which won the top honour for Kia dealerships, emphasised that such recognition is a powerful motivator.
“When I joined Kia Vereeniging over a year and a half ago, I focused on changing the mindset from ‘it’s not possible’ to ‘yes, we can’. Once the team believed in their potential, we saw significant improvement in sales and service,” Simpson explained.
Having claimed the top spot in 2024, Simpson is now determined to make history by winning the award again in 2025.
