General Requirements
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Competency in Post-Specific Functions: Applicants should have experience and competence in the functions specific to the role.

- Educational Qualifications: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database at NQF level 4 is required.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of core duties, including:
- Fleet Administration – Manage both the armored and operational vehicle fleets to ensure smooth operations.
- Transport Management – Coordinate and provide transport support, ensuring safe and timely movement of personnel, vehicles, and equipment across various locations in South Africa.
- Equipment Handling – Prepare and manage vehicles and their equipment based on the specific needs of each deployment.
- Inspection and Maintenance – Conduct regular inspections, report damages or losses, and ensure proper maintenance of all allocated vehicles.
- Policy Development Assistance – Support in creating policies and procedures for the mobilisation and use of vehicle fleets.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to National Instructions, including those specific to the use of state and armored vehicles.
- Reporting – Maintain accurate records and provide performance reports for integration into SAPS’s Annual Report.
- Security Compliance – Ensure that all activities align with the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS).
