Music fans, get ready to be thrilled as South Africa’s hottest music event, the Metro FM Music Awards (MMA24), takes over the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga this Saturday, April 27th, 2024. Who’s Leading the Pack?
Internationally-recognised singer Tyla has emerged as the frontrunner with an impressive six nominations for her hit song ‘Water’. Expect a night of fierce competition across the various categories as some of the biggest names in Mzansi’s music scene go head-to-head.
Tyler ICU follows closely with a stunning 5 nominations for his hit song Mnike, featuring Tumelo. The nominations include Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, Best Viral Challenge, and Best Amapiano.
The Metro FM Awards are sponsored by the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, in partnership with the Motsepe Foundation. The Motsepe Foundation seeks to continuously add more value to the awards; as a result, the winners of each category will receive R50 000, and the Song of the Year winner will walk away with R150 000. SANTAM is sponsoring the Best New Artist category.
